College Decisions

My fellow seniors will all agree with my when I say it is tough to make a college decision. As this time of the year rolls around seniors are becoming more stress because not only is it harder to concentrate on homework and studying but also because there is a lot of work with college admissions. When applying for schools, I suggest filling out applications for any schools you might be thinking about at all. This is why I ended up applying to seventeen schools. However, after receiving my scholarship packets, visiting the schools, and researching, it was easy to narrow down the list to four. My top four were UMKC 6 year BA/MD program, Quincy University, Rockurst University, and St. Louis University. When doing my research on these schools I looked into their pre-med program, student to teacher ratio/relationships, research and internships available, distance from home, opportunities in the community, and cost over four years. After attending some interviews, I was able to define my top two- Quincy University and UMKC. From here, I have been working on specific pro/con lists as well as communicating frequently with my admission and guidance consolers. In the next post I will share with you a great way how to make a pro/con list. Good luck to everyone else who are trying to make college decisions!
